It’s been 9 years since the season finale for Gilmore Girls and now, our favorite girls are back! Netflix will be airing a 4 part miniseries starting November 25, 2016. A trailer has just been released and to all die hard fans, we can get to see once again the life of the small town of Stars Hallow.
Before we start watching the trailer, let us do a small recap on where the characters left off last time..
We had a glimpse on how Rory was facing as her graduation approaches. A rejection from The New York Times in which Lorelai and Rory plan a vacation to soften the blow, a break up from Logan (which she felt really bad) and of course, graduation.
As the story progressed, Rory eventually gets a job following Barack Obama but she does not have anytime left with Lorelai and her hometown.
Meanwhile, the townspeople are aware of Rory’s graduation and decides to reenact it since they cannot go to her graduation. But, alas, the reenactment got cancelled. So Luke gets an idea to throw a graduation party for Rory.
On the day of the graduation party, Rory and Lorelai were much surprised that the whole town showed up to bid Rory farewell even Emily and Richard were there. Rory was touched and gave a heartfelt speech and told everyone in attendance she will miss them.
As for Luke and Lorelai, they started off as broken up but end up back together, sharing a sweet kiss.
The finale closed on Rory and Lorelai getting breakfast at Luke’s Diner.
Fast forward to the trailer, we get to see how Rory is coping with having no job, Lorelai and Luke happy together, Emily having to cope with the loss of Richard and a whole lot more. Oh and also that oh-so-familiar Gilmore girls theme song!
