If you grew up in the early 1990’s, you would remember a TV series called the Power Rangers and an arcade game called Street Fighter.
The Power Rangers was and is still is very popular among the kids of different generations. If you’re one of those groups who had no TV and hadn’t been watching what’s “in”, well, Power Rangers involves a group of people (mainly 5 people) chosen to fight against evil and usually transforms into one gigantic robot (Not Gundam guys, that’s an anime).
And Street Fighter is one of the most popular fighting game in the arcade before WIFI happened. Kids would line up just to have a fight with someone who was “undefeatable”.
An official short film was just released and we get to see these rangers and street fighters in action!
Ryu, from Street fighter, makes an appearance in the beginning of the video. So Awesome! (fangirling) And we’re pretty sure it’s Ryu since he is doing his signature move, Hadouken.
And there’s the lovable and cute Chun-Li, with her signature hair and kick. Looks like Ms. Chun-Li has made a new enemy and it’s not even M. Bison. What could this mean?!
The film eventually leads to an epic all-out clash between the various Power Rangers in the series and with the Street Fighters.
Aw man, don’t leave us all hanging!
At the end of the film, it teases us to play the mobile. The mobile game has been out for some time now and we sure want to try it out after seeing that short film. Gosh! That’s one way to advertise a game, but we just wish they made it longer or at least concluded everything. We do recommend that you watch the short film for yourself.
